Washington County Conservation District is hosting a free Soil Health Field Day from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 15 at Tim Behrends’ farm, 11340 Oakgreen Ave S, Hastings.
Discussion topics include NRCS staff on soil health, U. of M. researchers on the perennial intermediate wheatgrass Kernza, and Behrends on his cover crops and agricultural management. Coffee and breakfast are included.
