Asparagus Project Webinar

10/03/2019 12:00 PM - 01:15 PM CT

Description

Learn more about asparagus production and reflect on the 2019 season as SFA's Minnesota Asparagus Project hosts an educational webinar from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 3.

The mission of the Asparagus Project is to increase production of asparagus in Minnesota through improved soil health practices, expand supply chain networks and markets, and work with beginning and operating farmers. Over the past year, there have been a number of workshops and field days at various locations across the state to help educate producers on asparagus production. This webinar will serve as a source for additional information and follow-up to these workshops.

The webinar is free and open to all. Presenters include Annie Klodd, UMN Extension Educator; and Paul Schmidt, organic asparagus farmer from Preston. Information to be discussed includes fall care, site selection, crown ordering and planning for 2020, marketing, an interactive Q&A and more.

Registrants will be sent webinar login information upon signup.
