SFA is co-sponsoring an upcoming free workshop that aims to improve understanding of local food regulations for anyone interested in serving or selling local food – farmers, restaurant owners, educators, school food service directors, churches or the general public.
This workshop, “Blazing Trails Through the Jungle of Food Regulations,” is 8 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Tues., Oct. 8, at Wright County Extension Office, 3500 Braddock Ave NE, Buffalo. The event will educate attendees how to navigate local food and foodservice regulations. Anyone confused or intimidated by food regulations and sees potential for local food systems in their community should attend. An RSVP for planning purposes is requested; but walk-ins are welcome. Coffee, fruit and refreshments will be available.
Register at https://z.umn.edu/blazingtrails.
These workshops are funded by a North Central Region SARE Professional Development Program grant.
