RSDP Deep Winter Greenhouse Open House – Madelia

Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships and SFA are hosting the next in a series of Deep Winter Greenhouse Open House events from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 29 at Alternative Roots Farm, 11197 130th St, Madelia. This free event will showcase a passive solar greenhouse that enables farmers Brooke & John Knisley to produce crops all winter long. 

RSDP has been working with Deep Winter Greenhouse producers to improve existing technology and strengthen design elements to create a publicly available greenhouse design.

This event will include presentations, a ribbon cutting, self-guided tours, and Q&A. The site is 1.5 miles east of MN-15; parking on gravel road only.
