Description

SFA Livestock & Grazing Specialist Kent Solberg is hosting a hands-on two-day Livestock Premier Fencing Workshop from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 23-24 at Dakota County Technical College (west side of campus near green houses), 1300 145th St. E., Rosemount.

Participants will learn the components of and and construct a 100' x 100' multi-wire high-tensile energized fence for livestock control. The fence will include four different corner assemblies, a gate, grounding system and energizer. Workshop will also include maintenance and troubleshooting tips. This course is designed for farm and natural resource managers interested in grazing systems.

Cost is $400 and is limited to eight participants. Meals and lodging not included.
