'Dirt Rich: Building Soil Health Experts' – Faribault
Description
This two-day advanced soil health workshop features Dr. Allen Williams, who has thrice been a featured speaker at SFA’s Midwest Soil Health Summit and at last year’s “Dirt Rich” field days. Dr. Williams is a champion of the grass-fed beef industry as well as a leader in cutting-edge grazing methodology.
Mornings will be classroom; afternoons in the field. We will be reviewing soil bio-profiling, a new tool for assessing and monitoring soil health along with other tools, and will have soil bio-profile results for the fields we will be touring.
Each day's event is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Faribault and begins at the Rice County Fairgrounds at 1900 Fairgrounds Dr (4-H Building).
The field portions of each day will be at two different farms. Attendees will caravan each day from the 4-H building to:
- Aug. 8 – Pork Chop Ridge Farm, 16936 Cannon City Blvd, Faribault
- Aug. 9 – Hanappe Ranch, 3891 275th St. NW, Northfield
