Greater Mille Lacs Annual Meeting

Silvopasture, living snow fence and more will be featured as Greater Mille Lacs Chapter hosts its annual meeting from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Sun., Jan. 20, at Hazelton Town Hall, 24248 U.S. Hwy 169, Aitkin. 
Diomy Zamora, a U. of M. Extension educator whose focus in on agroforestry and biomass energy, will be the keynote speaker and discuss silvopasture, living wind breaks and snow fences; additionally, Sarah and Joe Gans from Wellspring Farm will discuss their silvopasture plans. A seed swap and potluck dinner will follow; please bring a dish to share and seeds to swap. Chapter meeting will follow with board elections and other business. 

Also, a door prize giveaway is planned at meeting's end. Members who wish to showcase their farm products as a door prize should contact Mat Nix at mathew.nix@gmail.com.
