The 2019 SFA Midwest Soil Health Summit will be March 12 at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.

The MSHS, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., features Dr. David Montgomery, a soil scientist, MacArthur fellow and author of books such as "Growing a Revolution," which makes the case for agriculture that is profitable and productive that cools the planet and restores life to the land.

Other speakers include farmer and soil health expert Grant Breitkreutz, NRCS state conservationist Troy Daniels, Extension educator Jodi DeJong-Hughes, state soil scientist Kristin Brennan, SFA Livestock & Grazing Specialist Kent Solberg, and more. 

On March 11, SFA will also host a dinner and soil health overview intended for first-time attendees and Professional Development Scholarship recipients. For more information on scholarships, contact Wayne Monsen at wayne@sfa-mn.org.

Cost for the 2019 MSHS is just $50 for SFA members and $75 nonmembers.
