Cover Crop Seeding Field Day

Soil Health Network Event: Sept. 13, St. Peter

View cover crop interseeding, discuss how to build soil health and much more as Nicollet SWCD is hosting a Cover Crop Seeding Field Day from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Thurs, Sept. 13, at the Oshawa Township Hall, 38711 State Hwy 99, St. Peter.

Speakers include farmers Dave and Marty Mogensen, Dan Coffmann, and Nick and Chuck Peters, all farmers who use no-till/strip till and cover crops. Also presenting are April Sullivan and John Crellin from NRCS, Eric Miller of Nicollet SWCD and Susie Carlin of Great River Greening.

Interseeding equipment will be on site; discussions about no-till, strip till, cover crops will commence. The NRCS Rainfall Simulator will also be demonstrated.

This SFA Soil Health Network event is free and open to all; no RSVP is required.
