Seven Pines Bale Grazing Followup Tour

07/15/2021 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM CT

Description

Join the Crow Wing River Basin Forage Council for a bale grazing farm tour.

Bale grazing is a form of wintering cattle on pasture, or outwintering. The benefits of bale grazing include more equal distribution of manure and associated nutrients, reduced machinery costs for feeding and manure handling, and improved soil health. This tour will follow up on the April event and look at recovery of the site and impact from previous years of bale grazing.

Address: 18618 CO RD 23, Verndale, MN 56481

SFA's COVID-19 Preparedness Plan will be implemented at this event. Registration strongly encouraged for planning purposes. Walk ups welcome.
