Rush Creek Watershed Tour

View stream restoration and learn about stream health, soil types, karst geology and more during a SFA Driftless Chapter Watershed Bus Tour & Stream Walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., Aug. 18.

The event begins and ends at at Rushford Village Hall, 43038 State Hwy 30, where a bus will leave at 9 a.m. sharp to visit various stops along Rush Creek. Speakers along the way include Dr. Dylan Blumentritt, Winona State geologist, on area geology; Dr. Bruno Borsari, Winona State biologist, on soil health; and Vicki Ramsay, high school biology teacher, on macro invertebrates and stream health.

This event, co-sponsored by the Izaak Walton League, is free and open to all. Lunch is provided; please RSVP for planning purposes.
