East Central Farm Tour: Cambridge

SFA East Central Chapter is hosting a farm tour from 1 to 3 p.m. Sat., July 28, at Ferris Family Farm, 34338 Blackfoot St NW, Cambridge.

Multiple generations of the Ferris Family raise pastured chickens and farrow-to-finish pork on this 40-acre operation. This tour includes discussion of the GEOTEK Mule fencing system the Ferris's installed. In addition, the farm is a distributor for Luxemburg Feed Service and has quality feed available for sale on-site. 

Network with and learn from these veteran producers of local meat – whether you are a new or seasoned farmer, there will be interesting discussion about sustainable farming practices. Consumers looking for a source of locally produced, high-quality meat should also attend.

This event is free and open to all but an RSVP is requested. Limited parking is available; please carpool if possible.
