About the Marketing Garlic in Minnesota series:

Over 150 growers are now selling garlic in Minnesota, and in much of the state demand is strong.  Almost exclusively sold through some form of direct marketing – whether straight to end customers or to resellers – premium garlic can be an important income stream for a farm.

For three weeks in January we’ll explore the various marketing methods of several creative growers, including wholesale channels and direct-to-customer practices, starting off with a garlic-focused primer on the basics, with ample opportunities for your questions and comments.  We’ll also be seeking input on a new “hub” model for moving garlic to growers, eaters and resellers. All classes will be available on SFA’s YouTube Channel afterwards.

These classes are offered via Zoom and free of charge through the Minnesota Premium Garlic Project, a program of Sustainable Farming Association and Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships, with funding from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
