Forage Council Summer Tour – Staples

Crow Wing River Basin Forage Council is hosting a summer tour from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at Neal Gaalswyk's Grand View Ranch near Staples. 

Join us for an afternoon event that coincides with Central Lakes College's Ag Day. We'll gather at the CLC Ag Center, 1830 Airport Rd, Staples, at noon for lunch as part of the Ag Day event then a bus will leave the CLC at 1 p.m. to visit Grand View Ranch, returning to the CLC at 4:30.

Topics to be discussed include grazing management, fencing, watering systems, custom grazing, comparison between long-term managed pasture and "newly" managed pasture, frost seeding/pasture improvement strategies and more.
