03/10/2018 09:30 AM - 03:30 PM CT

Description

The Ecological Service Livestock Network, a SFA Networking Group, is hosting an event, "Adding Value to Your Small Ruminant Enterprise: Getting Paid to Manage Public and Private Lands with Grazing and Browsing," from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 10 at Cokato Town Hall, 255 Broadway Ave S, Cokato.

This workshop is for goat and sheep farmers looking to tap into the emerging market for the use of managed browsing and grazing for-hire as a cost-effective, low-impact land-management tool for the control of invasive species and the restoration of woodlands, savannah and prairie landscapes.

Expert Cherrie Nolden will speak and a producer panel will hold a discussion and take audience questions.

Cost is $15 and includes lunch.
