"How to Apply for Farmer-Rancher Grants" - Live webinar with Q&A
Description
Farmers and ranchers of all kinds, you are eligible to apply for grants to do on-farm research and education projects. How do you prepare a strong application for these competitive grants? Join us for a “how-to” webinar on Wednesday, October 7, 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm.
The North Central Region SARE Farmer-Rancher Grant deadline is December 3 and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s Sustainable Agriculture Demonstration Grant deadline is December 10, but it’s not too soon to start developing your application! Farm educators and advisors are eligible to apply for a North Central Region SARE Partnership Grant to work with farmers on a project, and that deadline is October 22.
Presenters from University of Minnesota Extension and Minnesota SARE, and some farmers with experience applying for grants, will describe the details of these grant programs and offer tips and insights into what makes a good grant application. The webinar is free and will be conducted via Zoom. Register here to receive the Zoom link: https://z.umn.edu/ApplyGrantsWebinar
This webinar is sponsored by Minnesota SARE, Sustainable Farming Association, U of MN Extension, Minnesota Farmers’ Market Association, Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, and Minnesota Farmers Union.
