Hay/Pasture Management Field Day with UMN Extension - Pine City

On September 22 from 6-7:30 p.m., University of Minnesota Extension Ag Educator Rod Greder will host a Hay/Pasture Management Field Day at 11131 Lakeview Heights Road, Pine City, MN. Through this in-person training you will:
-Learn best practices for rotational grazing from other graziers and grazing experts
-Learn about pasture measurement tools and using them to improve profitability
-Determine the most cost-effective ways to increase hay quality and quantity
-Hear about top 10 tips to improve pasture productivity and wean more pounds off each acre
-We will also be discussing the Pasture Productivity Pail (PPP) and its use and intent. More details to come as we prepare for the launch of the PPP later this Fall.
Speakers are: Kent Solberg, SFA grazing specialist, NRCS/SWCD county reps, Rod Greder, Pine/Isanti Extension Educator, Troy Salzer, St Louis Extension Educator, and local graziers.
