DGA/SFA Pasture Walk: Verndale

Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship, in partnership with SFA, is hosting a series of pasture walks this fall. This is the final walk!

This event is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Fri., Oct. 9, at Seven Pines Farm and Fence, 18618 County Rd 23, Verndale. It will be led by SFA/DGA Coordinator Angie Walter and farmer/dairy apprentice Mikayla Birschbach. Topics include bale grazing during the winter months, outwintering cows and youngstock, and how to stockpile pastures for winter. 

This event is free and open to all but registration is required. Events will be limited to 25 attendees, including instructors and staff, and attendees must follow social distancing. SFA recommends bringing face masks to its events.
