DGA/SFA Pasture Walk: Maple Lake

Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship, in partnership with SFA, is hosting a series of pasture walks this fall. Each event will be led by SFA/DGA Coordinator Angie Walter, participating farmers and a soil health/forage expert. 

This workshop is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 24, at Valley View Dairy, 2889 30th St NW, Maple Lake. Topics include ways to decrease fly pressure, maximizing tonnage off of pastures, and minimizing component loss in dairy cattle during the summer grazing months.

This event is free and open to all but registration is required. Events will be limited to 25 attendees, including instructors and staff, and attendees must follow social distancing guidelines. SFA recommends bringing face masks to its events.
