Our preseneters will be:

Chris Kudrna and his wife, Joanne, run Plum Creek Garlic in St. Cloud, MN. Chris and Joanne have been growing and selling garlic since 2007. Their mission is to “build community as we grow local garlic in a sustainable manner”, and they approach the enterprise from a focused business perspective — both hold MBA degrees. Chris is also something of a go-to person for information on diseases and pests in garlic in the Upper Midwest.

Paul Schmidt – in addition to a raising a lot of hogs, asparagus, mushrooms and a host of other farm products – grows around an acre of certified organic garlic near Preston, MN, in the southeast part of the state. With his wife, Karen, Schmidt Farmhas 13 garlic varieties in their repertoire, which they sell at Minnesota Garlic Festival, area farmers markets and direct to customers.

 

This online event will be hosted via Zoom by Sustainable Farming Association, with MN Premium Garlic Project director, Jerry Ford, as moderator.
