Elderberry Growers Field Day

Learn the finer points of elderberry cultivation as SFA Crow River Chapter hosts a Minnesota Elderberry Growers Field Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., April 4, at The Farm of Minnesota, 24618 MN Highway 15, Hutchinson. 

This workshop, held in collaboration with the Midwest Elderberry Cooperative (MEC), is held at the farm of Dan Moe, an original board member of MEC. Dan will host us on his certified organic farm for a farm tour, talk about commercial elderberry production, see the elderberry de-stemmer his father invented, and make hardwood cuttings. Attendees will have the opportunity to take some cuttings home, and the rest will be for sale to farms establishing certified organic elderberry.
