Deep Roots Festival

SFA Lake Agassiz Chapter is hosting a new signature event, the Deep Roots Festival, from 1 to 9 p.m. Sat., Oct. 12 at Milt's Barn, 47000 180th Ave, Pelican Rapids.

Mark the end of the growing season with a farm-to-table dinner, farm tours, education, music and more as SFA Lake Agassiz Chapter hosts its inaugural Deep Roots Festival from 2 to 10 p.m. Sat., Oct. 12, at Milt's Barn, 47000 180th Ave, Pelican Rapids.

The day begins with farm tours and workshops from 2 to 5 p.m., both at Milt's Barn and area farms. Workshop topics include foraging food as well as fermentation basics; three area farms will be open and leading tours on the hour. 

At 5 p.m., all the activity ensues at Milt's, with a social hour, farm-to-table dinner and music by Dan Thornby and Red Herring String Band. 

Dinner tickets include event admission. Tickets are nonrefundable.
