Bringing Livestock Back

01/19/2018 09:30 AM - 04:00 PM CT

Description

Learn how livestock and row crops work extremely well together as SFA and Land Stewardship Project co-host a Soil Health Network event, “Bringing Livestock Back,” from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 122 1st St NW, Glenwood.

This event will discuss how livestock can help increase your farm’s profitability and resilience, make it possible for a family member to join the operation, increase your farm’s revenue without buying more land, and take your farm’s soil health and nutrient cycling to the next level. Presenters include SFA Livestock & Grazing Specialist Kent Solberg (above), LSP farmer Bryan Simon, and a panel of farmers who have integrated livestock into their operations.

Cost is $25 and includes lunch. RSVP: bsimon@landstewardshipproject.org or 320.492.2526.
